Photo Of El-Rufai Declaring N90b Asset In 2015 Trends After Governor Said He Had No Money To Buy His Party Forms

As the say, ‘the internet never forgets, the picture of Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai declaring N90b asset in 2015 is currently trending online after the governor claimed he could not afford N20m to buy his party nomination form.

As now a norm for the APC candidates including the president to buy a form and claimed it was bought by groups, the governor has finally got his own and claimed it was bought for him to contest for the APC governorship ticket in Kaduna State by some groups.

The governor said he would have been in a tight corner if the groups had not bought the forms for him.

The forms were purchased for him by the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), traders at Sheikh Mahmud Gumi Market and Katsina and Daura People’s Association living in Kaduna.

He said, “When the party fixed the money for forms, I could remember that during the meeting the president was the first person to raise his hands and say he does not have N50 million.

‘’In fact, we the governors started discussing on how we will raise the money for Mr. President. We said each governor will contribute N2m. And we travelled to China and it was in China I told the president that some groups have purchased the form for you. So who will buy my own for me?

“I don’t have N20m also to buy my form. The money I have in the bank is not close to that amount. I have only one account in GT (bank). Except I sell my house will I be able to raise that amount,” he said.
