AVICII fans have called for him to be given a posthumous honour at the Billboard Awards after his final tweet revealed his delight at the nomination days before his shock death.
The DJ is nominated for Top Dance/Electronic Album at the show and his followers want him to win to celebrate his contribution to music.
The shortlist was announced on April 17, just three days before the star's shock death in Oman yesterday aged just 28, and Avicii's final message on Twitter was a thank you.
He wrote: "Thanks for the nomination!
🙏 @billboard #BBMAS."
His record Avīci (01) is set to compete with The Chainsmokers, Memories…Do Not Open, Calvin Harris' Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, Stargazing by Kygo and ODESZA's A Moment Apart.
However, fans want to make sure the honour goes to Avicii.
