'I caught my husband sleeping with my teenage daughter'

What would you do if you caught your husband and your teenage daughter from a past relationship having sex?

This worried woman needs advice (Illustration)  This worried woman needs advice (Illustration)

My name is Monisola, a 38-year-old woman with four children. I have been married for 12 years, though I had a daughter, Timininu, when I was in secondary school, meaning that my other three children are for my husband, Ademola.

Before I got married to Ademola, he knew I had a child out of wedlock and he accepted her and promised to treat her as his own and we have been living in peace till the day I bumped into him having sex with her in her room.
Timi is 18, and growing faster than her age and I have tried my best to be a good mother but little did I know that my young daughter was not as innocent as I thought. Though I tried to monitor her as best as I could, I knew she had some male friends though she kept them away from me.
It was an aunt who came visiting some months ago that first warned me that she did not find Demola's closeness to Timi funny, sensing that they did not act like a father and daughter, especially when I was not around.

Facebook, Google, Others Confirm Nigeria’s Requests for User Information

  •  MTN not transparent on information provided
Tobi Soniyi
A new report has confirmed what many Nigerians have long suspected to be true: that the federal government is spying on its citizens through the social media and email accounts.
The report titled, “The Growing Trend of African Government’s Requests for User Information and Content Removal from Internet and Telecoms Companies,” was released last month by the Collaboration on International ICT Policy in East and Southern Africa (CIPESA) established under the Catalysing Access to Information and Communications Technologies in Africa (CATIA) initiatives funded by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID).
The organisation analysed transparency reports released by telecommunications and social media companies.
The reports by these companies including Facebook, Google, Yahoo, Twitter and others showed that there has been a surge in African governments’ requests for user information.
According to the report, African governments’ requests are for subscribers’ data, content preservation, and content removal.
Facebook listed Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt and Sudan as the African countries that made the highest requests.

Kano, Katsina, Jigawa Reject Restructuring
Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau Adopt United Country
Nwabueze Allays Concerns

The President and his anti-restructuring team
The governments of Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states have rejected the restructuring of the country.
The states declared their position yesterday at a public hearing organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) on true federalism in Kano.
In its stead, they said the northwest zone would prefer a united Nigeria and strong federating units.
The governments were also unanimous on the balance of economic development and spread of social growth across the country.
But, the position of Kaduna State government was not known, as the governor neither attended the meeting, nor sent a representative. He also did not submit memoranda on behalf of the state.
The governors, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State and Aminu Bello Masari of Kastina State, affirmed the country’s unity in diversity.
They said true federalism should not be misconstrued for a weak central government, but rather a

"APC ‘sold image’ to Nigerians instead of programmes– Sani

Yabagi Sani, national chairman of Action Democratic Party (ADP), has faulted the All Progressives Congress (APC) ‘for selling image’ to Nigerians instead of programmes.
Sani described the APC as an organisation of people whose only aim was to grab power, “as the party don’t even know what they are doing”.
Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, the ADP leader noted that all the ruling party did during the electioneering campaign was to shout “Buhari, Buhari as if that is the solution to the country’s problems”.
“That is the mistake APC made, they were shouting Buhari, Buhari like it is the solution.
“Buhari is not God, he is a human being, he has his short-coming as a human being, instead of selling programmes, they were selling images to the people,” the ADP chairman said.
“That is why they cannot stand, the system cannot stand, everything surrounding individual, it doesn’t work that way.
“The only time Oyegun is relevant is when they want to go for elections, they can’t even have a board meeting, they don’t even have board of trustees.
“When this APC came you can’t even identify with the leader, even the national leader they don’t have. Is Tinubu a chairman of the board or leader? Nobody assigned anything to him,” Sani said.
He said the country was facing some problems because it did not respect its own laws.
“Federalism is not only peculiar to only Nigeria. We borrowed it from America. America has a way of running this system that allows every state to achieve its potential to the maximum, what is lacking in our own situation is that we fail to respect or observe those parliamentary – acts of parliaments in the various sectors of the economy to implement them the way they are supposed to be implemented.
“We do not respect the law, that is the problem we have in Nigeria,”‎ he said.

IPOB members are terrorists, while Fulani herdsmen are mere criminals - Lai Mohammed

- Lai Mohammed has insisted that IPOB is a terrorist group - He expressed disappointment that the US does not agree
- He gave examples of when Nnamdi Kanu solicited for arms to fight Nigeria Lai Mohammed who is the minister of information and culture has expressed disappointment that the United States does not agree that the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) is a terrorist organisation. In an interview on BBC Focus Africa on Wednesday, September 27, the minister said the utterances and acts of IPOB showed they were terrorists. He said the federal government does not agree with the US stance that the separatist group was not a terrorist orgamnisation.
He said: "The acts and utterances of IPOB were acts and utterances of terrorists. For instance Nnamdi Kanu was caught on tape saying that they want Biafra and not peacefully but by force and that if they don’t get Biafra, Somalia will be a paradise with the kind of mayhem. “This is also the same man who opens a safe for arms and the same man who set up his own Biafra national gathering, his own Biafra secret service and the same man who actually attacked army formations.” When asked about what he thought concerning the position of the US that IPOB was not a terrorist group, Mohammed described it as unfortunate.

He said: “That’s very unfortunate Because if countries decide to pick and choose which organisations are terrorists and which are not bearing in mind that terrorism has no boundaries, I think what we should do is, every country should work together to ensure that terrorism does not strive.” The

Bayern Munich Fired Carlo Ancelotti

Fewer than 10 games into his second season in charge, Ancelotti has been let go by the defending German champions

After Wednesday’s 3-0 loss to PSG in the Champions League, Karl Heinz-Rummenigge, Bayern Munich’s executive chairman, summed up the feelings around the club.
“What we saw today was not FC Bayern, I think we can all agree that,” Rummenigge said. "It’s important that we bounce back quickly and demonstrate that we are the team that has been sensational in Europe and [the Bundesliga] in recent years.”
However they end up demonstrating that, it’ll be with a new man in charge. Fewer than 24 hours after Rummenigge sounded the alarm, the club announced that it would be parting ways with manager Carlo Ancelotti after a little more than one full season in charge.
Bayern Munich are in crisis—so long as your definition of “crisis” is “currently sit in third place in the Bundesliga through six games, after winning the league by 15 points last season and also pushing eventual champions Real Madrid to extra time in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.” At a club like Bayern—where the expectation is to win the Bundesliga, challenge for the Champions League, and do it in a way that’s pleasing to the eye—pretty good is never good enough.

Melaye’s Recall: Court Strikes out INEC’s Motion for Substituted Service As Battle Goes To Appeal

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday withdrew its motion seeking an order of the Federal High Court in Abuja allowing it to serve the recall petition on Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, through substituted means rather than personal service.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba struck out the motion after INEC’s lawyer, Mr. Yunus Ustaz (SAN), announced its withdrawal in court on Thursday.

The judge also directed that all issues pertaining to the case should thereafter be taken to the Court of Appeal.
He noted that since Melaye’s appeal against the court’s September 11 judgment of the court had been entered at the Court of Appeal, all pending applications, including the ones filed by Melaye for a stay of execution of the verdict, should be taken to the Court of Appeal.
INEC had on September 15, filed the ex parte motion seeking substituted service of the recall petition on Melaye, following an alleged refusal of the senator to accept service of the petition and other accompanying documents as earlier ordered by the court on September 11.
Ustaz also maintained on Thursday that Melaye had been “dodging” service, as an attempt by the INEC to serve Melaye during the Senate’s plenary on Tuesday also failed.

Kevin Hart‘s cheating and extortion case is now part of his stand-up routine.
According to TMZ, the troubled star took the stage in Atlanta on Saturday night telling the audience, “We got a lot of s–t to talk about today, people.”
Although Hart, 38, didn’t blatantly address the reports, he did allude to the fact that better days are coming.
“The words appreciation do no justice for what I feel for your guys … I’m going through some s–t, I’m going through drama… I say thank you from the bottom of my heart because I want you guys to understand that I’m not perfect … Things happen when they’re supposed to. Things happen for a reason. In this particular case, I promise you I’m going to come out a better man and father than I’ve ever been.”

Angela Merkel Elected For The Fourth Term As German Chancellor But AfD makes gains, exit poll says

Angela Merkel is elected for the fourth term as German chancellor and a far-right party will enter parliament for the first time in more than 60 years, according to normally reliable exit polls released just after the voting ended in Germany.
The far-right party, Alternative for Germany, got some 13.5 percent of the vote, a significant showing of voter anger over immigration and inequality as support for the two main parties sagged.
Despite her victory, Ms. Merkel and her conservatives cannot rule alone, making it probable that the chancellor’s political life will be substantially more complicated. The shape and policies of a new governing coalition will involve weeks of painstaking negotiations.
The center-left Social Democrats, Ms. Merkel’s coalition partners for the last four years, ran a poor second to her center-right grouping, and its leaders announced Sunday evening that the party would go into opposition, hoping to rebuild their political profile.
But the step was a way for Germany’s mainstream political parties to make sure that the far-right Alternative for Germany, or AfD, stays on the political sidelines and does not become as the country’s official opposition.

The Alternative for Germany nonetheless vowed to shake the consensus politics of Germany. Alexander Gauland, one of AfD’s leaders, told party supporters after the results that in parliament: “We will go after them. We will claim back our country.”

Inside The Multi-Million Dollars Shady ALSCON Negotiation Brokered By A Nigerian Minister

The Nigerian government has, through the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Kayode Fayemi, been mediating in a multi-million deal that apparently violates a Supreme Court ruling, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt.

ALSCON Plant (Insert,  the dealer; Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Kayode Fayemi)
The deal is to get a Nigerian-American firm, BFI Group, to surrender to a Russian firm, UC RUSAL, its win of the 2004 bid for the multi-billion Aluminium Smelter Company of Nigeria (ALSCON).
BFIG has, however, rejected a $35 million offer to forfeit its legal rights after meetings by all parties.
The firm also communicated its position to both the Bureau for Public Enterprises, BPE and the National Council on Privatization (NCP).
Its Chairman/Chief Executive, Reuben Jaja, accused Mr. Fayemi of compromising his office by “continuously jumping in bed with the Russians to subvert rule of law, in defiance of two subsisting Supreme Court rulings” pending federal government’s implementation of the apex court’s ruling on the matter.
The spokesperson to the minister, Yinka Oyebode, in response to a PREMIUM TIMES inquiry on

Why not? Do you jump into bed with just anybody. I am not saying I am celibate for religious reasons. You don’t just jump into bed with just anybody but if I meet a nice person, why not?
What are those qualities you look out for in a guy?
Hmmm… The ones that they never have (laughter). People say it is not about the looks but the heart and I say that is nonsense (laughter). The first thing you see is the physical. As far as character is concerned, honesty is important no matter how much you have, if you made your money dis-honestly I no fit follow you. For instance, if you are doing 419, it won’t happen.
