landslide and totalled over 19 million.

Nigerian Professor, Akindele Adetoye Apologised For Calling 2Face "bloody illiterate"

A way to go. there are still sensible Yoruba man who after committing blunders, still finds the courage, drop their pride and apologize, a good example of such is a professor in the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, who incurred the wrath of Nigerians after he called 2face Idibia a bloody illiterate for organising a national protest

Good day brethren, I put up an update yesterday that incurred the wrath of some of my friends and the population at large for what some considered its harshness to another member of the Nigerian community. In hindsight I believe I was indeed harsh. I believe I am wrong to have come at him in the manner in which I did. He's in love with our nation like I am and like the rest of us. It was in finding a lasting remedy to our national malaise that I believe my passion took the best of me, and it was in that regard that I erred. I apologize for that and I apologize for those my update affected in any manner. I was wrong and I am sorry. Thank you and God bless you all.

 Jumoke Akindele
“Most certainly, I did not speak with the Director of Finance and Administration on the issue of cheques or any other matter at all, and I also did not speak with the Clerk. “I did not ask the Pay Master, Mr Makanjuola Adeshina, who was unfortunately brutalised by some of my colleagues to bring any funds to my House,” she said. She said she was in Lagos on Friday and received a call that some 13 members allegedly removed the leadership of the House “on the puerile and baseless claim

Donald Trump And The Muslim World By Reuben Abati

I am not a fan of Donald Trump, the incumbent President of the United States. I didn’t stand with him. I stood with her- Hillary Clinton- in the last US Presidential election. No other election in recent American history has been more international in terms of interest and emotional involvement. Trump’s election even divided the Nigerian middle class.  Majority of Christians in Nigeria stood with Donald Trump. They liked his anti-Muslim rhetoric, and in a country where religion is such a volatile subject and the Christian community feels as if it is under siege from radical Islamic extremism, it was easy for a category of Nigerians to see Trump’s politics being in sync with their own fears and expectations.

U.S. Will Take Us as Slaves, but Not as Refugees- African Union

The head of the African Union openly and unapologetically criticized President Trump’s ban on immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries, highlighting the fact that the U.S. took African people as slaves, but will not take them now as refugees.

According to the Independent, representatives of the Union’s 53 states met in Addis Ababa for a summer, where the chief of the commission said that the Union was entering “very turbulent times,” following Donald Trump’s move into the White House.
“The very country to which many of our people were taken as slaves during the transatlantic slave trade has now decided to ban refugees from some of our countries.”
Dlamini-Zuma went on to pose the question,
“What do we do about this? Indeed, this is one of the greatest challenges to our unity and solidarity.”
President Trump and his administration have come under fire as of late following Mr. Trump’s executive order that bars people with passports from seven Muslim-majority countries — including three African nations: Libya, Somalia, and Sudan — from entering the United States. Trump also suspended all refugee programs in the United States for 120 days, while indefinitely suspending the entry of Syrian refugees into the country.
The United Nations Secretary General, speaking in Ethiopia, celebrated many African countries for opening their borders to refugees fleeing harsh conditions in their home countries, especially in light of the fact that countries in the West have been hesitant, or outright refused, to do so. America is a shining example of one such country, as President Trump, not only closes borders, but works to build walls.

"Please do not travel outside of the U.S. until the ban is lifted. While the entry restriction is currently only in place for 90 days, it could be extended with little or no warning," the memo, which was reviewed by CNN, reads.
